JEV is starting off with a positive reputation.
V10 Service Manual

Anyone have a link for a service manual for the V10's? I have to change out the oil filter cooler adapter on our 2000 Excursion and it would be nice to have some direction before I tackle that job.

Here's the text, there are drawings but I'm not able to post them, looks like a lot of work though.

SECTION 303-01B: Engine — 6.8L
2000 F-Super Duty/Excursion/Motorhome Chassis Workshop Manual

IN-VEHICLE REPAIR

Oil Filter Adapter —4x4

  1. Remove the front drive axle assembly; refer to Section 205-03 .
  1. Remove the LH engine mount; refer to Engine Mounts in this section.
  1. Drain the engine oil and remove the oil bypass filter.

  1. Drain the engine cooling system. For additional information, refer to Section 303-03 .
  1. Disconnect the oil pressure sender electrical connector.

  1. Remove the oil pressure sender.

  1. Slide back the hose clamp and disconnect the lower radiator hose from the oil filter adapter.

  1. Remove the bolts.

  1. Remove the rear nut and the oil filter adapter and discard the gasket.

Installation
  1. NOTE: Clean and inspect the mating surfaces and install new gaskets.
    Position the oil filter adapter and install the rear nut.

  1. Install the four front bolts.

  1. Position the lower radiator hose on the oil filter adapter and install the clamp.

  1. Install the oil pressure sender.

  1. Connect the oil pressure sender electrical connector.

  1. Install the oil bypass filter.

  1. Install the LH engine mount; refer to Engine Mounts in this section.
  1. Install the front drive axle assembly; refer to Section 205-03 .
  1. Fill the engine with Super Premium SAE 5W-30 Motor Oil XO-5W30-QSP or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSS-M2C153-G.
  1. Fill and bleed the cooling system. For additional information, refer to Section 303-03 .
