Thumbs down User "lisagoud" Paul Goudreau

Worst experience I have had in a long time. I am trying to buy a transmission from them for my Courier project, it was a great deal for $100. He estimated the shipping weight as 80lbs- Seemed a little light, but ok, so I sent $200 for the purchase and to cover shipping. I then went back and forth with him for three weeks about shipping it, I think he took it to UPS ONCE and they said it would be almost $200 for shipping. I said several times to take it back there or to take it to Fedex, ship it, and I'd pay whatever extra cost there was.
Well, the 5 mile drive to Saco (his words) to go to Fedex was further than he wanted to go, so I finally went and set up a Fedex account so I could schedule a pickup from his shop, Goudreau's Garage. After waiting a few days I asked for an update, and instead got a refund with the note "I'm tired of trying to help you".
Tired of trying to help me? You didn't help me. You held onto my money for a month and a half while I jumped through hoops trying to get the parts I paid for. Now, my project is very far behind schedule and I am going to miss the get together this truck was supposed to premier at. Thanks.

I advise that users should avoid this person, if there have been any other bad dealings with this user please let me know.

It's absolutely amazing the blinders some people have on. For the record, I could not get the item shipped for what the buyer wanted to pay so I told him to arrange the shipping.,. The transmission sat her for damn near a month waiting to be picked up once palletted and all set to go. Despite how many times I asked for the shipping tag number, the buyer didn't have one. I asked again for a shipping tag but one was not produced. After all this, the buyer kept insisting that I just drop it off at a feedex without any shipping information. I never received any shipping documentation nor did Fedex have any record of this buyer's tag when I called them twice to verify. I have been burnt like this once before by having a buyer lie about this and Fedex turning around and charging me $600.00 for shipping because the buyer lied. This is why I do NOT deal with shipping. If someone wants to purchase the item and actually have it picked up, I will happily accomodate him. If this buyer did not have his pallet picked up by Fedex when he is the one that arranged shipping, perhaps he had contact Fedex to find out why they didn't pick it up not insted of blaming the seller who had nothing to do wiuth the entire ordeal. I would have been happy to send back the money the next day (especially for $100) IF i WAS REQUESTED BUT i WAS NOT. I would have been happy to drop off the item at Fedexz if I had been sent a shipping label as I had numerous times requersted, but I did not have any tag sent to me.. If you want to put this on me, so be it. Some people will not take any responsibility for their own lack of action and blame others. So be it but I really would expected more out of a moderator.

I'd still need it shipped, I think the cost of that was about $90 or so?
If it is still available I can send you $200 for it shipped via paypal or money order.

Do you have an estimated weight for this transmission? I'm trying to figure out how much it'll cost to get this shipped to me. I do want it, I just am not 100% on when I can afford it.

I TOOK IT TO ups QAND THEY SAID THEY WOULD SHIP IT BUT THEY WANTED LIKE 190.00 BECAUSE THERE SCALE SAID 149 LBS (I DON’T THINK THAT WAS ACCURATE THOUGH)> I HAVE P[AQLLETED THE TRANSMISSION UP AND SHRINK WRAPPED IT AND AM GOING TO EITHER LET YOU ARRANGE SHIPPING FOR IT OR I’LL REFUND YOUR MONEYU. I SPENT 25.00 ON STRAPS AND THE WIFE And I spent 2 hours today trying to help you out including stopping by some overpriced trucking companies but to no avail. I would estimate the actual weight around 100lbs plus a 10 lb pallet. Let me know what you want to do.

Fedex's website says $132 based on a 30x18x18 package weighing 150lbs. You can just seal off the end of it, slap a label on, and ship it that way as long as it isn't caked with grease. If Fedex doesn't work out, then send it UPS and I'll send you the extra it costs.

I shrink wrapped it up and brought it to UPS and they said they needed it on a pallet…so off I went to find a pallet, but ratchet straps to tie it down and then shrink wrapped the whole thing as they requested. Their scale is too small to read it accurately which is why they said it weight 149 lbs (1 lb shy of their max). I can try to send it FedEx ground tomorrow if you like.

I will refund your $100.00 for shipping and it’s on its way to you. There is a FedEx ground office right in Saco, Me about 5 miles away.

If it's just over in Saco, than can you take it to the ground office? Just let me know how much it'll be/it cost you, and I'll send the balance via paypal.

Ok, it was exactly what I said- I need a Fedex account in order to create a shipment and schedule a pickup. So, I went and created an account. I have attached a shipping label, print it and tape it on the package. The system had an error when I submitted the pickup request, so they may pick it up tomorrow between 8am and 6pm. If not, then PLEASE TAKE IT AND THE LABEL TO THE FEDEX OFFICE.

I agree completely with this scenario...I offered multiple times to refund your money but to no avail. I suggested having Fedex pick it up but to no avail. I am sorry you feel you were victimized but I did everything and more I could (especiaslly for $100.00)> I prefer local piockup so things like this don't happen. I do NOT have any trucking companies up in this area that offer fair shipping rates for large items. I have no control over shipping costs which is why I prefer not to deal with them but have the buyer do that. If the buyer doesn't set up the shipping as requested, it is not my fault the pallet doesn't move. For the record, I never received the 'shipping label' because I would have contacted Fedex for you. I know myself if Fedex does not pickup something I am waiting for,l I contact FEDEX myself to find out why and then take corrective action as required. Apparently you feel otherwise.
