Hi thanks for your idea's. The carb was rebuilt by a well known carb shop. The car ran well for a few days and then developed this bogging problem. Is it likely that the accelerator pump or pump diaphram could go bad? Could it be a fuel pump.

If the carb has been rebuilt correctly, the accel pump should be OK. But, they could have installed a bad one, or installed it incorrectly.
Also, there is a little rod that connect the throttle crank to the accel pump. Did this fall off?
Fuel pump is possible but unlikely. Nothing special happens to the fuel pump when you floor the throttle. If the engine eventually "catches up" at higher revs after bogging down, the fuel pump/filter is probably OK.
Check the vacuum advance line. It might have come disconnected.
Also, there is a vacuum advance diaphragm on the distributor. This diaphragm could be bad.
