Thanks guys! I need to quit looking at this website......... Starting to think - Mod the truck!!!!! - forget the house payment... No I won't do that, but I might sell a couple of my Old Cub Cadets to fund some Mods!

Next question - to remove my cat I just need a length of exhaust pipe, like 2 feet or something? I am thinking when I do the down pipe I should also lose the kitty...

I'll be getting a check from my second job next week - I might have to dedicate it to the TRUCK!

Singature test...

Oh, and Chigagodragon - I got a chuckle form your earier response - definitely no hard feelings! And I tried to be funny when I said about my dad - meaning his response would be if it isn't broke then don't fix it! The wife - well she just knows where the gas pedal is, oh, plus(as a bonus) she know how to put gas in her car!

Yes, when you delete the cat, you can just replace it with straight pipe.

If you are planning on keeping the truck I would imagine that you would need it for a long, long time.

Kawa! Funny! Thanks for the laugh! Now I'm thinking - should I get rid of the muffler too?

If you want to you can. I'd almost say if your going to buy a downpipe and two sections of delete pipe, you might as well buy a 4" turbo back kit.

I bought a 10' section of 3 1/2" ID pipe from a welding shop for $60. After the muffler and cat delete I had about 4' left so I sold it to some high school punk for $30. lol.
Here's a picture:

If I were to do it again I would've bought some high quality exhaust band clamps from NAPA.

Sometimes I roll down the aft cab window just to hear the turbo chirping. Love that sound.

My truck's motor sits just a bit closer to the cab, so I had to bash the chit out of the firewall with a bunch of blunt objects. Got the DP in, but on braking, you could here and feel the engine "amplify". The cab seemed to be slightly leaning on the DP.

Then I bought a porta-power. That fixed it.
