If you use the search feature, you'll find that the Mustang is most common, but Bronco II, 40s Chevy and also Suburban tanks have also been used successfully. The Ranger tank has been used by modifying the crossmember under the front of the bed. I've also seen a few posts from guys who have used tanks meant for the 60& older F's and made them work. Of course there's always custom tanks... Ranger, 40s Chev, 'burb & Bronco II have the benefit of side fill so you don't have to empty the bed to gas up. Ranger & Bronco II tanks are available with in-tank fuel pumps.... use the search feature & read for more details. And let us know what you decide!

Got a buddy with a 63 F100, Styleside bed; he used a Dentside tank; turned 180 degrees with filler neck hose running into driver side rear taillight, which is on a hinge type opener. Very cool and hidden. (used LED light as well) I havn't decided to either kept my tank in cab or do the same put have neck in the bed floor; since our 64's have a different bed taillight than a 63 does with the round taillights.
Just a though !

I found this tank and I am thinking of using it. I am still in the planning stages but when I commit sometime this month I will post some outcomes. This site has allot of good universal tanks to choose from.
