Well my highboy and bronco are both at the shop. Im doing a engine swap in the highboy myself. Was hoping for the 445 but it got to expensive fast so I had to settle on a 428 cobra jet.... Oh well still cool! My 390 pooped out on me and was leaking oil everywhere. So here are some shots from the past week or so. Also did the hydratech hydroboost brake conversion! As well as a aluminum radiator.

Day before the swap (never noticed my brother in the pic... haha)

Say bye to the 390 (ill have it rebuilt and sell it)

Hydro boost brakes going in

Helllooooo 428!

I cant wait to fire it up! And now with the new engine I got the Vintage Air hooked up so ill have heat and AC finally!

This is how excited I am to hear this thing roar to life hehe

What radiator is that SuperDuty, wondering if it might be a ebay find? I've found a couple ebay radiators that looked pretty good just looking for feedback. Great looking motor, and truck

Well, Buford looks today like looks pretty much every day during the winter anymore..........he's a big, 'ol baby now that I take to the shows, and just cruise around in for the most part. Maybe 10 or 20 years from now when he's lost a little of his luster, I'll just pull him out and treat him like a truck again, but in my opinon, he earned his keep for 30 years......he deserves to be pampered at this point. Besides.......I have Lumpy (my '91 F250 4x4) to beat on when I have to get some work done.

Winters are pretty tame to your South but I do the same thing. Candy Cane sits safely in a nice warm garage and gets driven on the weekends and sometimes to work. Other than those occasions she's nice and safe from the elements.

At least you get the option of driving on the weekends........weather here tends to go downhill around November, and stays that way until March. If it isn't snow, it's ice, or it's wet, or mud (yes, I would swear we sometimes get mud in the forecast).........but between they laying down that de-icer stuff on the roads, and all the sand and gravel, you wouldn't catch me dead taking Buford out on the roads. So, I put a bottle of Stabil in the tank, cycled it through the system, wired up the battery tender, put on his cover, and just have to wait until next season.

Looks like Candy Cane just barely fits in that garage door.......any bigger tires, and I'm not sure he would. That was one of the parts that helped me make the decision on buying this house. Buford would fit, as the garage was long enough, and the garage had 8 foot doors.

Now I just gotta get my foot healed up enough so I can get my list of fixes accomplished on Buford before next summer. Luckily, there are no major issues, but there's enough on the list to keep me busy.
