Hey Blue, my truck is a muttly and that motor (390) is not supposed to go between those rails (78 chassy), the po hacked that before i got the truck

Heres what my junk looks like at the moment. Didn't get home from work until a lot later than expected so didn't get as much as planned taken care of. Prepping for head swap.


Also can any of you gents tell me if this is a stock 74 302 piston? I was expecting a bigger dish and no valve reliefs.

I know this might be a dumb question or comment and its probably an optical illusion BUT... can you actually fit cylinder heads and valve covers on that motor?

I've never seen a frame notched like that before and it makes me think your motor is sitting way back than what it should?

Hi Kikkup, when i purchased the truck from the po the complete 390 was in and barely running, i actually set the head and vc on the block to see what it looks like since i painted it taday , i think it loooks perty to

Haven't really done much to my truck lately except drive her to and from work, but yesterday at work we trimmed up this massive old Oak tree and I kept a large number of the logs that were cut off of it....
