Here's some pix from this week and last.

Just washed!

Then off to take some pretty pictures.

I just had to take Candy Cane to work for the week.

Tonight Safely tucked away in my garage with only 1/4 inch clearance on the top. I have to replace my master cylinder this weekend.

Hi NBC
Use to live in castro valley for a couple of years. I still head out that way frequently for a ride up redwood road.

Lone Ranger

Here in WA, this is what the Lone Ranger looks like. We are suppose to have a "dry" weekend so I will be doing outside repairs this weekend and hopefully make some progress. I just want to put it on record that I am jelous of NBC steve and Turbo Hunter for their great Cal weather and outside working conditions!

Complete restore, rebuilt engine, installed TCI C6 towing transmission and converter and sterling rear differential. Took 11 months to complete.

Here is my dads '78 Ranger Explorer. It has a 400/auto, front leveling kit, and 33's. He bought about 7 years ago with original paint and wheel covers and some rust. He repaired/repainted most of it when he got it and now it needs it again.

The trucks original owner was my next door neighbor. He retired and towed a 31 foot Coachman 5th wheel with it. They traveled all over the US and Canada with it until he had a massive stroke in 1984. I bought the truck and trailer from him in 1984 and continued hauling with it ever since. I have went through 2 more 5th wheels since. The truck has 246,000 miles on it and most of that is towing mileage. I recently bored the engine and did a complete rebuild. It has always ran great and has never left us stranded. I attached a pic showing two of the new pistons installed. I took pictures of each step as I completed them. Maybe I will look them over with fond memories when I get old.

This isn't today because I am out of town but it is the latest pic I have from a couple of weeks ago. You will have to trust me that it looks exactly the same today:

Was this one of the trucks in 4-wheeler (i think) a couple years back? I know it was someone up here in the PacNorWet. Nice rig any how!

Sold mine back in December. It got loaded up and sent off to Indiana a few weeks later. Here's the last pic I took of it.

FWIW, I sold it to Scott who runs www.rustfreeclassics.com and it was an easy deal. If you're selling a truck and he contacts you, have no worries. The only problem was trying to find a place to load it since his shipper had a ginormous truck (over 100' long). It was a hassle finding a place to load it since there was no way it could have happened at my house. Nevermind it was dark, raining and he was 30 minutes out when I found out how large his rig actually was (or the 100'+ actually hit me). The shipper was awesome and it wasn't a big deal in the end.
