I prefer the term "permanently borrowed."

axidjw I like the blacked out look. Looks like you need a hood spring.

thanks..yea, actually the hood is warped. I replaced all the mounting hardware and played with the adjustments for what seemed like a week as I assumed that as well. As I was trying to do this rebuild on the cheap, you have to pick and choose your battles and I thought, a new replacement hood would be nice but didn't want to re-invest for that and all that comes with that..haha One day perhaps!!

dads77, that truck is a beauty. It sure brings back memories. This is a truck I built 35 years ago. All I could find were chevy fenders for the 67 ford box.

haha..agreed. but I will admit, every time I look at the hood, I get that little cringe in my brain..OCD kicks in hard. One day ill get it sorted. Its been too cold here in the mountains to want to be outside working on her. I have just been ordering parts right now. Got the flush rear roll plan bought, need to paint and mount, I need to go pick up the finished tailgate and get that back end sorted...lol
we actually did take her out on the town that night, the misses waned to go for a drive in her.

I've got a spare set of hood springs/brackets if you want, red too but probably not the same paint code lol
