carb adjustment? maybe rebuilt?

my carb is a 2brl motorcraft

and either when its cold or warmed up i can take off but when i hit a certain spot in the pedal it will cut out and want to die unless i let off or give it more gas..

sometimes i have to feather the gas to leave stop lights and what not because it want to cut out and die.. is it my float adjustment? jets? should i rebuild the carb?

Has it ever been rebuilt?

If it was me I would rebuild it, Rebuild kits are cheap and relatively easy to do.

I just did my Motorcraft 2100 Friday it took about 30 minutes. I just sprayed it down with a ton of carb cleaner, rebuilt it and put it back on. Runs like champ.

I rebuild mine a few months back. Take lots of pictures prior to teardown, especially of the choke linkage. http://www.therangerstation.com/tech..._2150_carb.pdf

I had similar problems with mine and a rebuild fixed it. My problem was that the filter was allowing junk to pass through into the bowl.

Paid $15.99 and bought a rebuild kit.. for carb 2100d supposibly..

i was looking online at these carbs and i guess theres a 60's and 70's ones..

and the one i have i guess is 60's so when i was gettin the kit he first showed me the correct on for the year(76) and i said it didnt look right and to look into 60's and we found the correct kit..

ive got the carb rebuilt and put on.. i ran it and tuned it a lil.. but the question i have is that there was no replacement piece for the choke diaphragm assembly

heres a pic of what iam talkin about.. top left

and i still have a dead spot in accceleration..
iam thinkin possibly plug wires bcuz i went to check if they were all on the plugs while truck running and i got zapped by one.. agghhh haha

You have to buy the choke pull off separately.
