Vacuum leak is a common cause of running issues. A plugged Cat can cause running issues...they don't last forever. One can't adjust either of those conditions out with the carb or with the timing.

Got this problem fixed i think (hopefully!!!!!) so thanks for all the help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tightened eveything on the intake/ made sure the vacume plugs were seeled up/ bent the throttle cable bracket toward the carb a little/ and cleaned out the breather hose
