Good schools

Looking at returning to school I am interested in attending UTI for their diesel program but have read several reviews that it was not a good school was wondering if anyone has any ideas of a good school to attend?

Go down to your local diesel garage and ask to speak with the Manager, or call and make an appointment to speak with him or her. Ask the Manager that question from the standpoint of hiring a technician for the shop.

Whether you or anyone else think it is a good school is irrelevant. If you want to turn wrenches on a diesel truck for a living then get the training that the people who do the hiring recommend.

Also ... the dealerships and manufactures. Companies like Mack and CAT have relationships with some schools, and hire their graduates. (at least, thats they way it used to be).

I notice that, in my area anyway, the CAT dealers are always hiring diesel techs.

Good luck.

Try Wyoming Tech. They have campuses in Laramie Wyoming and in Blairsville PA. I visited the PA campus and they were building brand new buildings. This was a few years ago so they should have all the programs there. They also run all new state of the art equipment.
