2000 Powerstroke Problems?

Ok guys. My buddys got a 2000 f250. The truck will run for 2 min and then shut down. It will white smoke the whole time. Has brand new injectors, new gp, HPOP tested good, and new injector harnesses.

Any ideas. Running out of em quick. Hes got it at a shop and im just trying to help him out. Powerstroke is not my best subject. Just got one so im learning.

Thanks guys

Are they injectors brand new? or remans? from where? There are a couple of not so good rebuilders out there. Is the SES light coming on? Have you pulled any codes?

After replacing injectors there is a lot of air in the system and it takes a while to purge it out.

Sounds like fuel delivery problem for me. Could be air in the lines, could be fuel flow restrictions. Installing pressure gauge on fuel bowl would answer that .

What exactly made him change all those parts out? If it was based on the shops recommendation, tell him to get the truck out of there as they are just throwing parts at it. If he changed all those parts before the problem, then we need to look at what was done before it started.

Welcome to the forum! 7.3's don't have egr stuff. Maybe your are talking about a 6.0 leaker.

To the op definitely check out the fuel pressure.

Start a new thread over on the 6.0 forum: 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums

You'll get more help over there and we don't want to. Good luck.
