Back bench seat

Back bench seat
I'm looking at getting a new 2010 Expedition Limited standard length. I work odd hours and I can't get to a dealer without making a production of it. I was hoping someone could tell me if I got the bench seat for the 2nd row, how flat the entire back end gets and if there are any gaps between the seats and rows. The Nissan Armada folds over 90% flat and has some "flip out" panels to make the back end almost completely solid and flat. How solid and flat is the Expedition? I'm looking for a large vehicle that can down weight and is still large and flat on the inside for two massive dogs to lay down and not trip, slip, or fall into any gaps or spaces. Pictures would be the absolute greatest.

I have flattened my middle row a few times. It is perfectly flat and level with the entire rear cargo area. As for gaps, I believe that there is a gap between the folded third row and the middle row. A smaller dog might have an issue with it. My Weimaraner just sits in the middle or third row, so I aam not sure how he would be affected. I will try to take pics later.

Sorry for the image quality. I used my phone to take the pics. As you can see, there is a flap to cover the hinge at the base of the third row, but nothing to cover between the third and second row gap (first pic). We have an EL, but I don't think that matters for what we are talking about, just the overall length of the cargo area.
Good Luck,
