If anyone has the thermactor emissions parts for a 460 F250 (I think 85-86-87 would all work), I'm in need. I had a freak situation where my air cleaner held some water and it was sucked into the thermactor pumps, control valves and check valves. Thought I had blown a head gasket and the truck sat a while this Winter. Consequently the thermactor moving parts are now rusty and screwed up inside. For sure I need the check valves and control/deverter valves that control the air flow from the pumps to the air manifolds. Let me know what you have and what you want for them. Got to be some of this emission stuff lying around in garages .....surely?
Have to pass 1 more emission test and I'm exempt. Isn't that the way it goes sometimes! Had the emissions all up to snuff and this happens!
I know someone will ask how the water got in. Leaking cowl to hood seal!
Thanks
Tom
What part is that exactly? do you have a pic? I live in Everett and got my '86 460 to pass last year. You're welcome to it if its there. The previous owner tore ALOT out and I had to 'trick' the sniff test a little...The air pump is gone already.

Thanks for the reply [SIZE="3"xirxious[/size]......I'm failing the hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide at idle. Passes the cruise portion of the test. Had the thermactor all up to snuff and then sucked water through the thermactor system. The inside of the check valves are all wet and rusty. Have not looked into the deverter valves.
Need check valves for sure (but they will be a Bi*tch to get off the air manifolds. The get hot and freeze as result. Also would take deverter valves if someone had them.
Here are the pics (if the upload works).....thanks.....Tom
I was able to find both pumps and the rear vacuum controlled air diverter valve at the Tacoma Pick A Part Yard today off an 87 extended cab. The air manifolds with the check valves (I only need the check valves) were already gone. You never know how good these parts are from a salvage yard truck. That truck was lost to a carberator fire. The forward control valve near the back of the smog pumps was damaged by the fire. The parts were less than $40 and I have 30 days to return if they don't work. They look reasonably good.
