I enjoy a good pull! LOL!

I know.. I figured after the pic was taken, I knew you or someone was gonna ask about why the crank was still there, if it had PW/PDs, LOL!

My trick is when I am working on it inside the cab, I like to roll down the windows to let air pass through so that I am not cooking! But when done, I roll em up to keep as much dust as possible from creeping in.. I am not sure, but in some of the other pics it is horrific the amount of dust that settles in just an hour!

Final Installation!

Long time waiting, but with perfect weather and an engine hoist that poor engine stand that has been begging and holding up to the weight of the diesel, finally got its break! No real prepration was needed as everything was set to go!

Removing the motor mounts, setting the engine in, the installing each of them was key to getting the engine in. It went in like a glove... Perfect! More pics to come!

More completed!

Another wonderful day of accomplishments! Things are really coming together quite fast now.. I may need to stop and recheck myself! LOL!

The goal was to finish getting the trans mated to the engine (had some angle issues to start, gone now). After success, I decided not to stop and keep going! Getting the wiring figured out under the hood is the biggest challenge!

Whats amazing is the new ride height.. I never really paid attention till yesterday. There is a considerable difference, and even after the engine was installed!

Its going to be time for some rear axle updates! LOL!

ya know what strikes me about this build, you are going about it like a true horse trainer.

Taking your time, double and triple checking...when it's all said and done you will have a nicely finished truck with all the buttons and comforts. You will be able to get in it/ on it and head to the other side of the country......just like a nicely finished horse

Great work man

Hey great work i have really enjoyed this build I guess you never got around to mesuring the 7.3 for me and guess its to late now. But oh well I've been busy with school but still looking for my own 98 f250 with the 7.3 to try my expedition swap. By the way chicagodragon i see you have been helping out a lot and want to hear your thoughts on a 7.3 into a 98 expedition. and midwest dually i'm glad to see you are getting close to that pot of gold at the end keep it up man

I do have your measurements! I will get those to you! Its amazing how many requests for little things will come up when someone goes this far into a tear down!!! I am glad I got as many questions as I did.. Lots of things were made aware of I never thought to consider!
