Maby you got that pan from me off ebay a cupple of years back ? It looked to me like you would have to hack up the starter hole in the rear engine cover to get at the bolts. I couldn't get a socket on it going in from there & talk about a pia to line the studs up like that.

I've got the Milodon 4x4 pan, and while it's a tight fit back there, Neversosure is right...you can put on the TC nuts through the starter hole. I did it when I dropped my plant in, and just rotated the crank to bring each stud into the starter hole to thread and tighten up the nut. It's a little tedious, but not a huge problem. I did it by myself in about 20 minutes. Granted, there's no front clip on my truck, and I didn't have to climb around much, but it still shouldn't be a monster hassle. I did, however, put the nuts on in cross order just for piece of mind sake. I'd put one on, then I'd rotate the crank 180 degrees, and put the second one on. Then I'd rotate 90 or 270 degrees, put the third on, and then another 180 to the fourth. That shouldn't make any difference, but I figured it couldn't hurt to be cautious.
Anyway, it can be done pretty easily, and you don't have to tear anything up to do it. Now, the access plate on the bottom of the bellhousing is a different subject. I had to grind the tips of the bolts off to be able to fit in and get them started, due to the lack of clearance offered by the pan. I managed it, but that took me a while to get them started.
Oh.....and don't be a retard like I was and forget the dust plate when you put a motor in. You'll want to kick yourself. Trust me
