Wiper question

My 51- f-1 has been converted to 12 volts by a previous owner(lucky it didn't burn up) and while looking around under the dash I noticed it has an electric wiper motor. Is this a stocker 6V, or has somebody swapped another later model unit here? Thanks.

THey offered a 6V electric wiper setup for the first time in 1952. Most likely, someone got one and put it in, as the dash area is the same in 51-52. I'd look the motor over to see if there's any marking as to the voltage to make sure.

Yeah I know my 52 F-3 had stock electric wipers, so its possible someone yanked one and swapped it in.

Wiper question

I'm a long way from needing wipers; I was just wondering if I should keep my eyes open for a more junkyard available motor before my rewiring nightmare begins. I have a stock 351 HO/C6 combo and suspension projects planned first.
