Is that truck a Two Wheel Drive...?
If it's a 4x4, it will have a narrow frame.

 

has a 460 so probably not 4wd unless motor was swapped in

 

No 460ci V8s in 4x4s until '83.

This SCS is a few blocks from my house, so I snapped 2 pix today. Pretty straight, interior just ok, and I could see it has no radiator. Maybe it's just driveway jewelry for the guy.

That's a '73.
Note that the Badges Say "SUPER Camper" which was '73 only.
Also, It say's Custom, yet it has Ranger Trim....
I think some things have been changed on the particular Super Camper Special.
Clean! In about the same condition as mine.

I'm in Pinole, a few miles north of Berkeley in the Bay Area. Is kinda sad to see a truck like that used for storage. But I did see fresh radius arm bushings, and the alternator was newish. The shine of it caused me to notice the missing radiator. So somebody is taking care of it. Sorta.

Is the bright aluminum trim the Ranger trim you mentioned? And are the cargo cleats and western mirrors OEM? They are different than my 75, which seems odd.

 

Yes, That Trim was on some Rangers.
The Western Style Mirrors are Original, as are the cargo tie-downs.
I have the other type on my truck, which was used from '68-'86.

 

In an earlier post I made an inaccurate comment regarding lower body moulding for SCS trucks and I referenced Jeff's Broncograveyard. They DO have parts for dentsides as I had mentioned....but do NOT have any lower body moulding for the SCS. Auto Krafters on the other hand does have lower body moulding for F-250's, so at least if you need it for the cab, its available....as for the bed?? I cant find any.....unless you score some in a wrecking yard or off another SCS. Hopefully I didn't send any of you on a wild goose chase. My bad......

 

My 76 has the "Super Camper Special" Badges.........been on there since the day Dad drove it home from the dealer in Spokane, WA in 1976. I really need to get some pics of it posted on here to add to the truck ****!! I've noticed that there are several variations of trim, badges, and engine options on these particular trucks from 73-79 and not to mention that some trucks have had things added by a previous owner that didn't necessarily come from the factory or dealer, but I still believe these trucks are unique.
