Future Bronco prices?

Judging from the way the prices have steadily gone up over the last several years, I can see no indication why they wouldn't.
We bought our 67 about 5 or 6 years ago for $3500, since then I have been offered as much as $7000 for it as it sits. That was before the heaqders, rebuild, duff lift, etc.

I have been amazed at what they are going for now. It is beginning to put another one out of reach for me for a while!

Absolutely. The first one I had, I bought for 1500. After playing around with it for awhile, I sold it for 2500.

Fast forward about 10 years and now the junkers are going for 2500 and up! Amazing.

When I started looking for another one, I was shocked at the prices. I will think twice before I sell my present one. It may fetch quite a bit more a few years down the road.

Then again, I could be wrong. But who can predict what the Government will do? It's only been about a year since the rumor about "no vehicles older than 15 years will be able to get a tag". It didn't materialize but.....

I see them only going up because, for the only reason I buy any vehicle, they are UNIQUE!

Gotta love that!

Early Broncos are piles of crap. In mint condition... at the most they should be worth $100. (I am only typing this because one day I hope to own a kick butt early Bronco for cheap).
The truth is early Broncos rule! V-8, 9 inch, C4 = one heck of a combo. Plus they have that unique factor to them. Jeeps look the same to most people, but early Broncos are different.

What do you call a Bronco that forgot to take its vitamins? A Bronco II

Yeah,
They told him it was ALL ocean front property in Anchorage. And that the Golden Gate bridge had been moved up there too...

IMO, Broncos will continue to rise in value as long as they keep selling for top dollar. For every very nice, original example you see selling for $12,000, there are 5 other guys who think they can sell their rusted out junk for the same price. And somebody willing to pay it.

The nice ones are getting very difficult to find that haven't been butchered or totally neglected. It burns me sometimes to see someone take a nice uncut virgin and build a rockcrawler out of it.
I built a trail rig, but I started with a solid, but slightly modified version.

I'm still looking for the ad that will lead me to the low mileage, uncut, option heavy Bronco that has been stored in the garage since new... for next to nothing. But, I'm not holding my breath.
I missed it the last time by about 15 minutes. !974 with all options, 24,000 orig miles, factory all the way down to the hub caps, for under $3000.

Wait until you get one. Pull into a gas station and someone says
"Hey, nice JEEP."

Future Bronco prices?

I thought i got lucky and bought one for $500 last June. My buddy didn't have the cash to put it back together after it was stolen. The tires, carb and coil is all they took. So after I got it all back together the engine went belly up.. then the trany.. the front axel... and now the rear end is acting up.

I think if you have the money and not enough time one should buy a vehicle that has been gone through. Heck if I could find a sucker to buy my 73 for $5000 I think it would be gone in a heartbeat. Then I would go start looking for that uncut, garaged, 25,000 mile waxed yearly, never driven over 50mph dream machine.

I HATE THAT! I've told my buddies a hundred times IT'S NOT A JEEP! My first car was Ford. The truck I have now is a Ford. I've owned 8 Fords in between the first and the present. Why would I buy some crappy Jeep that never even came factory with a V-8? BTW, there's one right near my house now. Forest green, bone stock right down to the uncut rear fenders and hubcaps. Pretty decent shape too. He wants $3800 for it. If anyone's interested, I can get more specs for it.

Alright, here's the scoop. John Deere green, '66, 3 speed on the tree with a 6 cylinder (not sure if 170 or 200), so drum brake dana 30 front, and 9 inch rear. I forgot to ask what gears, darnit. All glass is good, totally origional body right down to the hubcaps and uncut rear fenders. Texas Bronco that moved to Colorado last year and sat there waiting to move here. This has got to be one of the cleanest Bronco's I've ever seen. No rust holes anywhere (that I could see), but there are some patches from body filler. Rust free inner fenders and under the hood. Either 89k or 189k miles, but it looks more like 89k. Runs and drives, and the only problem is that the driver's side front blinker doesn't work. He started out at $4200, then brought it down to $3800, but said he'd take $3600. I believe it to be well worth $3600, especially since it's the first year. Let me know if you need anymore info. It's located in House Springs, MO, about a half hour west of St. Louis. If someone wanted to buy it, I could store it at my house until they could come down and get it. I can take some pic's too, if you'd like.
