My truck is Hushmatted and it works well. I just bought a new set of the hollow door weatherstrips from MF. I hope to get around to installing them one of these days! Also, my new running boards are at the body shop getting worked. YEAH!
Jim, are the hollow door weatherstrips made specifically for the truck or is it something you have to cut to size?
they are made to fit 53-55 doors Vern. I had D.C. seals in there and the doors did not close properly, despite HOURS of adjusting the hinges and latches, so i bought some of the hollow Pep Boys stuff (universal) that Randy Jack liked. It worked well, but when I closed the doors, it would pinch the stripping at the leading edge of the door, causing it to bulge out and protrude from the seam at the front fender. I cut the front section out and replaced it with front section of the DC seals. Wind noise at speed. So, I'm going to try this MF product. Call Sy at MF, I understand they are selling 48-52 stuff now.
