Wow, interesting night here. A big thunder shower rolled through and dumped about 3" of hail and ice! Still melting this morning. Second one this week. Supposed to be about 65 today.

I am enjoying the 65 degree sunshine weather................too bad I have to SLEEP through half of it!

 

I had a very good day till I came home and signed the damn checks for the state and fed taxes. Now I'm depressed...............

 

It's still 64 here at 9:00 at night!

 

That will do it..............Ever notice, if you get a refund from the feds,........the state of OR is right there with their hand out.......It passes right through my hands to Salem.......FOR WHAT!

 

I have a great accountant, makes sure we pay enough without having to pay at tax time!

 

What refund...... I haven't gotten any money back in over 15 years. I have PAID every year! What hit me hard this year was Measure 66 and 67. I had to pay 5% of my GROSS besides the tax on my profit! $4,000 MORE this year!

 

I always hated the years we had to pay, but everyone said "That means you made more money" BS, they still take too much!

 

I paid 58% in taxes this year.................

I'm retiring this November while there is still money in SS. My customers have all been told that any work after the first of the year will be "off the books" cash only, and NO RECEIPTS!!!
