morning all,
what a long day yesterday, had to work on the D6 cat at the Fort Rock Ranch, so up early to get done in the shop. had to stop at the Verizon store as I had run over my phone the night before.
so finally get to the ranch fix the cat and am on my way home at a decent hour. cruising I40 at 75 mph I notice a LOT of smoke behind me.
shut it down and get to the side of the road and the transmission is pouring fluid out of the bell housing. which of course runs on the exhaust crossover pipe.
so I waited an hour for my wife to bring the other truck and the trailer to haul it home.

Wow Bart, Sounds like some front pump work. That is the big down of having a automatic behind a diesel. They just don't take the torque like a stick.
Mark, sorry to hear about a hospital visit. I try to stay away from those at almost all costs.
Happy Birthday PUP.
Bill, I feel that way sometimes & I don't even drink.(alcohol)
Good Evening Everyone.
Beautiful ride today to Hawthorne. The weather was even pretty nice. The flowers, bugs, grass & everything but the weather knows it is Spring.

pulled the trans today, the front seal is the cheapest possible seal you can install! I pulled the seal and slipped it over the torque converter and it almost fell on! called all the parts stores to get a VITON seal and every time I asked their reply was "HUH"
so I called my transmission re builder and he is ordering me one, looks like the truck is stuck on the lift until Friday.
