Morning and happy friday, LOL!

Finally got the trans and transfer out of the donor! Yay! Strange question here.. But I need to "de-icky" some rather large components, and was thinking the car wash. Now I am kinda new to these neck of the woods, but would that be adviseable? Back home it wasnt an issue, but pulling into a car wash to spray off the trans in the bed.. I dont know how people around here are about them kinda things? I dont have a pressure washer, so thats why.

24 hour car wash...off hours...no problem =)

I might get some engine degreaser first and spray it and let it sit a few hours

most of the car washes down here have big signs saying NO PARTS WASHING!!! heck some say your not to wash the bed of the truck out! i would get a gallon of paint thinner and one of those round parts washing brushes lay everything out on a plastic tarp and go about it that way. most car washes don't have enough power anyways...

or off hours like mark said.

car washes don't seem to mind up here, Wednesday I took my car hauler in the new car wash to pressure all the transmission fluid from my service truck. had to wait for the manager to finish blowing the mud out so I could get in. he didn't seem to have a problem with it.

Right on! I got a bunch of degreaser, just need to get it sprayed off. Last thing I want to do, is get pulled over 1/4 mile down the road, looking retarded! LOL! I have it all loaded up in the bed, and figured I would do it right there in the bed. What degreasers have some of yall come across that "really" do the job?

Morning!

AZblueWolf: Gotcha, well I think I can make another trip and pick that degreaser up. The stuff I bought were gallon sized of some of this citrus power stuff. Hopefully I will have enough to kill every grease spot! LOL! Not a fan of sticky, nasty, ewwy spots!

I had planned to get to the car wash last night, hopefully tonight.. Been on foal watch lately, and its killing me!

Hey everyone. Sorry I haven't been around in awhile. Life has been a bit hectic since the little one arrived.

Yesterday I got the call that I thought wasn't going to come: I've been laid off. The group of us being cut right now will be the first to come back; unlike the previous furloughs, we're being told to keep all of our manuals & such so that we can be used when needed. At least that's a plus.

In the meantime, it's time to find a new job. We need medical benefits, especially with the new one. If any of you use private insurance and like the company you have, I'd love to hear about it.

Thanks.

-Rob
