I guess I`m one of the old timers too. I`m 52 years old, and have owned my 74 F350 "dualie" race car hauler for 22 years now, bought it in Jan 1988 as a cab & chassis. It was bought new by a landscaping guy, who had a dump box on it.

Got my first a 1976 F150 at 16, got my second a 1973 F100 at 18 after wrecking the first. I'm now 28 and still loving my second.

I am 26 and remember being about 8 sitting in the jump seats of my dads super cab it was a 76 I do believe. I had that truck when I was 16 drove it a few times and my Mom sold it when I went to College. Now I bought a 77 f250 4x4 needing a firewood hauler and a good truck for working on my property andI am glad to have a old ford truck again

Bought my first '79 ford brand new in Jan, 1979 at age 26.( You do the math) I am now on my 4th one which I have owned since 2003, which was an older restoration(1996). I was amazed at the number of people in the 16-20 age range that really like the truck.

I just turned 39 and I had a 77 F150, a 76 F100 short bed, a 79 Bronco Ranger and now a 76 long bed. I always liked the simplicity and reliablity.

There is a story behind that user name, and it has nothing to do with catholicism.

Dang! Looks like I'm the "old man" of the bunch! I'm 59. Bought a new F250 Ranger XLT in '77, really wish I still had it.
Right now I have a '73 F100 Explorer undergoing a full frame off restore/mod. It has 435,000+ miles on it and I've owned it since 1985.
I also have a '75 F100 Explorer that is going to be a donor vehicle for the '73 resto.

I bought a 1974 F-250 in 1976, I was 21 back then. I'll be 55 on July 12th. I used the truck to finish off the last year of a 4 year US Mail Star Route contract. It had a 360 with a two barrel carb and a 4 speed manual transmission. I delivered mail to the towns of Spiritwood, Eckleson, Sanborn, Leal, Daisy, Hannaford, Cooperstown, and Jesse in the state of North Dakota. The day the Sears Catalog came out I always blew out a rear tire because of the tremendous weight. That F-250 rear bumper was almost touching the ground and the steering was a little squirley to say the least. The new contract was comming up and my two year old Ford was worn out, I didn't bid on the new contract.
