2010 FTE Online Fat Fendered ('20-'56) Round-3 Championship Entry Thread.

  • The FAT FENDERED MOB! 1920 - 1956
  • Ford Classics 1957 - 1996
  • The 21st Century 1997 and onward...
  • The Classy Classics-Which is already open, You can view it by clicking the link in my signature.
  • The Black Cloud Crowd- The Diesels
  • The Bustin' Broncos
And with that - entry threads are now going to begin popping open

These are the updated rules for all classes - for all to see ~
1) Contest open to all model and year Ford Trucks (includes vans, SUV's, All Wheel Drive, all levels of customization, etc) WITHIN THAT CLASS

2) Number of entries in each round limited to the first ten who enter a round. If after two weeks have passed there are less than ten but more than one entries, the entries for that round will close and the deciding poll will run anyway. If there is only one entry it wins by default and moves on to the CHAMPIONSHIP round. Contestants may only enter ONE TRUCK per round.

3) To enter - post a picture of your truck at least 700 by 600 pixels in size (no links to other sites. Picture must be displayed in thread) Avoid extremely large images, please. (1024 pixels largest side of image). Huge pictures may interfere with some connection speeds. ALL images will be tailored to size by committee to fit in poll thread. You may only enter ONE truck in each round

4) RULE OF OWNERSHIP: You must have owned the truck AT THE TIME YOUR PICTURE OF IT WAS TAKEN to enter it. You may not enter anyone elses truck FOR them. No exceptions

5) CHAMPIONSHIP RULES:
The first place finisher in each round qualifies and is entered in the CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND.
After ten regular rounds, the CHAMPIONSHIP consists of the first place finishers from the preceding ten rounds running in a "Best of the Best" contest.

6) VOTE MONGERING: You may enlist your buds and chapter, other groups or whatever to vote for your entry. HOWEVER - be warned that all of the polls are anonymous, and your buds can always vote for someone else. There is no way to know! SPAMMING the forums should not be done at any time for this purpose, be careful what you do...

7) Once a poll is up for a round, it will be active until the last day of the month. These polls close by themselves and whoever wins does. If for some reason there is a tie - a tie breaker poll will run until the following sunday night at the latest. Local midnight is based on Central Time in the USA.

8) NON-EXCLUSION: Employees of FTE and/or IBI welcome to enter including moderators or other unpaid affiliates as well as sponsors of the site

9) REPEAT ENTRIES: Out of sportsmanship, it is asked that if you want to enter a following contest, enter no more than two in a row. After waiting for one in between, you may enter again. THIS WILL NOT BE ENFORCED! It is a request, in order to give others a chance. ONCE YOU HAVE WON A ROUND (this is important) you may not enter another round that season with another truck - your winning truck is automatically entered in the finals, and no more than one entry in the finals by the same person is permitted.

10) PRIZES: 1st place winner in each round will receive a free one year paid membership to Club FTE, which provides access to extra features such as the Club FTE Members Only forum. Those who already are supporters will be given a twelve month extension to the membership they already have.
PS: "You're damn right we're doing it again!"
Here I'll simplify:
1. Post Pictures.(Bigger the better, Makes my job easier)
Multiple Pictures are best.
2. Post Specifications.
Anything else you want me to include.
3. Your In.

First 10 Trucks are in!
Thanks,
-Anthony 76SCS-
Let's show 'em how we roll!

OK I found my last entry and copied it over. Man I'm glad you put this here, the other ones were really burried!

Here ya go:

I think the biggest problem is that most people on FTE just DON'T KNOW WE ARE DOING THIS...

It would have been extraordinarily helpful to have gotten that contest forum we were expecting. But I still don't know what is going on with that, and I really don't want to bug Adrian about it because he has been so cool to us in the past.
This is very true. Most folks are staying close to home when it comes to posting.

I didn't even know there was a "General" section until I entered this and got your e-mail with the location. Other side of the coin is I posted a thread on the 48-60 Forum and only about 3 people voted>

Oh well. I'll enter again. Here's some data and pictures:

Julies Cool F1 = 1951 F1 with a 65 390 Police Interceptor Engine, C6 and 65 Big Ford 9 3/8 Rear end. I'm trying to keep it as stock looking on the outside but modern in the works. I have a full front tilt, Studebaker cowl side vent, Modern Stereo Deck, and three (stock 3 tooth, 5 tooth and 7 tooth) grills that are quick (5 minute) change. Spare tire carrier with Continental kit (and fender indent cover plate) Quad Trumpets. Dash clock. Automatic column (with stock column and shifter) shift. New 52 6 1/2 ft Box Trailer! And much more. Top three pics taken today, on my 5 year anniversary of getting the truck! Bottom 2 pics taken March 31, 2005!

Here's the pictures:

I bought my truck in 1977 when I used it as transportation to college. I bought it from my grandfather, he bought it new. It served me as main transportation in my last semester in college, a work truck, a second car, a soccer ball carrier, and now, with a teenager driving our second car, it is my transport to school (I teach school). It was painted in 1999. I have tried to keep it stock. It has the original 239 Y-Block (rebuilt in 1979) with 3-speed. The interior is stock. The seat was re-upholstered in 1977. I have original style hubcaps and mirrors. I am trying to keep it as it was when my Grandfather had it, a stock simple farm truck. My grandfather had a big dairy farm. Grandpa died at age 100 in 1998.
Here is a picture of my truck in Nov 1977 in a parade of our National Championship College soccer team, the only pic I have from 1977.

Ponies? You mean you can see them too? Oh man is that a relief!

The Paint is "Harley" and the Quarter is "Ted." I have 3 stalls I rent out to folks who have had their horses here for years and years - it was a promise to keep them here as a condition of the sale. There's another horse "Lester" who is here only occasionally. But, all the "Horse Ladies" and their kids ride into my "back yard"(where the truck is pictured here) to join up with these two on a regular basis. It's not unusual for me to go out to the back and have 7 or 8 riders sitting back there gathering. My property is bordered on two sides by the Poway Equestrian trail.

Today marks my fifth anniversary with the truck. Lots of perserverence and lots of "junk" installed on it.

I'm not like Denny (firstrider) I don't have the nerve to add up the reciepts. The "file" is over 5 inches thick!

Interior paint, carpet and upholstery this summer!

Thanks Marty!
