the Ford exhibit was decent but not nearly as full as i had hoped..
a few of the new Ford Fiesta (next car for the wife for sure)
no replacement Ford Focus (euro version coming here soon) on display.
only one 2011 F350 6.7 SD on display. no brochures or CD literature.. the Ford representative didnt even know much about the truck.. i stood around and answered a few questions for people..
no 6.2L Gas engine display or even info on it...
the new front end design actually looks better in person then i imagined, that new chrome grille appeared to be made from "black" chrome instead of the usual chrome effect color you see every day.
but it could have been the lighting in there... the interior had a 2-tone leather package that look amazing, the insert area almost look like a snakeskin pattern.. VERY cool...
think i sold my buddies wife on getting one for their travel trailer duties..she's all giddy at the thought of owning/driving a big Ford SD.
i think if there was one for sale there she would be signing the papers on the spot.
the SHO taurus is HOT.. oh and they had the new 5.0 'stang on display to..
rest of the expo was pretty forgettable. i tink the only lot we didnt visit was the GM/chevrolet one.. no one in the group i went with was intersted in anything the General sells.

Seems like you look forward to something like that and it ends up being somewhat of a bust. At least it sounds like you did get to see some nice stuff.

i agree with fordfanatic . the last few years it has turned into a waste of time.
if it wern't for the free tickets i think i would stay home. they seem to be putting a few frilly features on the new ford pickups. one that caught my eye was a step that slides into the tailgate.great idea but the thing looks fragile.not sure it would stand up to me hauling my 230 lb. body up and down it for to long. it seems to me that the engineers designing trucks while building more comfort and features in them should not loose sight of the fact they are made to work. just my 2 cents worth dale
