Lets see those Orange Dents

I like the road department orange and I like the yellow ford had on thier trucks in the 70's as well. My 79 is brown and cream original paint so it needs a new job some day. I would like to go orange or yellow but then I think I should keep it original. I dont know.....Main concern is just to get it road worthy then go to the body. LOL

I've been wanting to post in this thread for awhile. Here's my new project. My mother purchased her new in 79', I was 4 years old, she said I picked it out? Who knows! Anyway, I grew up riding around in this truck with my older brother for many years, my mom put 205,000 on the original 351m, I pulled the engine in 02', my Grandpa rebuilt the motor and heads, and I assembled and put back in the truck. My mom put about 6k more miles on it, then parked it in her back yard (needed lots of misc work at this point). This old girl has sat in WA state rain its entire life, the bed is toast, and so are the doors, but the cab and everything else is rust free. I trailered it down to Southern OR a few months ago, and began the chore of getting her back on the road. I've been driving it around for the last couple months...still needs a lot of misc work, but it still gets compliments when I take her out!

Paint is a little faded in this pic. It used to look pretty good for Allis Chalmers implement paint. Ha ha. It's been in the garage for about two years now. I'm 95% complete with a 12 valve and 5 speed swap. Should be back on the road soon.
