F250 Harley Davidson version

Question. What year did the f-250 Harley Davidson version come out, and what if any modifications were done to the drive train?

It's just an appearance package, no d/t mods.

The Harley version first came out in 2004 for F250, I believe the info was released around Oct of 2003.

But exceptionally overpriced. You pay for a name and some graphics.

Had a tow truck driver try to tell me that the Harley Super Duty's are AWD and you need to use dollies to tow them, i didn't go for that.

Ford doesnt have a AWD system for the trucks. Only the denali trucks have full AWD.

If you have your truck in 4wd it stays if you shut it off doesnt it? Maybe thats what he has encountered. Somebody driving one in 4wd and left it engaged when parked. Makes sense if its on a incline or snowy.

He's either ignorant or a scammer. Either way he gives tow operators a bad name!

No, I am not a tow operator.

I used to be a tow operator, HD recovery, transport, etc. I think what he was trying to tell you is since they are 4 wheel drive and auto trans he has to get all 4 off the ground to tow or else drop the rear driveshaft and wheel lift the front. Its industry standard to not tow an auto trans with any drive wheels on the ground unless the vehicle can be started and placed in neutral.

Expensive... yes, but not as bad when purchased on the X plan.

Still over priced IMO. Just look at it this way, do you think Harley Davidson is ever going to do a Ford edition bike?

Paid the same price for that as I did the '07 v-10, bought them both at the same time but only had 1 left on the x plan to use so I applied it to the HD ed. $5315 for the HD package which includes the following............(from sticker)
275 /65 r20
Harley floor mats
Polished tubular cab steps
Power sliding rear window
spare tire & wheel
Adj. Gas/ brake pedals
Harley Davidson 20" wheels
Color keyed rear bumper
Med Wedge blue painted flames
QUAD leather captains chairs (which are really thick leather unlike the KR)
(Grille)
(Jewel headlamps)

X plan discount = $6328
HD package =$5315

Didn't buy it for the HD package, I went in to order the '08 but wasn't impressed with it and I wanted Quad captain chairs, drove it and was liking it compared to the 7.3l I was driving at the time so I bought it. Not a Harley fan....my Hayabusa spoiled me with power/ speed.
