Does anyone know exactly how to remove the cooling fan from a 2005 Expedition? I'm replacing the rack and the manual instructions call for removing the cooling fan, but I only have the section for removing and reinstalling the rack.
Does it require the use of the large wrench for the hex shaft of the fan( i.e. threaded to the water pump pulley)? Are they left hand threads if so?
Any help would be appreciated.

 

I had to remove mine for an engine change. I believe the size was 11/4" open end and an adjustable got the job done, and the thread is normal, left to loosen.
