Weird Electrical Issue

Today I get to my Ex, to find the drivers side window rolled all the way down.
This has happened to me 3 times in the past month.
The truck is parked in a parking deck with a full security staff so I know no one did this & nothing is missing.
The window is just rolled all the way down.
Has this happened to anyone?? Alarm malfunction??

What controls that window? Check the switch in the driver's door 1st. Maybe water/corrosion is causing a short. I dunno - does the GEM get into this act too?

You mention the alarm... what is the link?

The truck came with a Factory Installed Remote Starter and I "believe" I read that one of the aux buttons on the remote may have the ability to roll the drivers side window down.
I have never been able to get the remote to do this so I am not sure.

As far as I know there is no such thing as a factory
installed remote start system. This would have probably been added by the dealer.

Didn't some of the earlier X's come with a GEM module? I know when the one on a previous Expy. I had went bad the windows, interior lights and blower motor would operate on their own even when the vehicle was parked.

The dealer told me that it was due to a water leak and that there was no way to repair it. I removed it, dried it out with non film electronics cleaner and had no more problems the rest of the time I owned it(4yrs). I wasn't about to give the dealer $800.00 for it. Yes I also fixed the infamous windshield leak that Ford should have been responsible for.

You are probably correct, I think its Ford Gold Security/Remote Start.
If I'm not mistaken

I like what FordXFour said.

IF your key fob does control the window THEN look at that too. Maybe mechanical (in your pocket *), maybe something electronic is going on.

* Years ago, one of my workers somehow had is phone call me from his pocket. He was supposed to be working, but I could hear that he made a deli run
Its not that likely, but is possible...
