whats the the deal?
i know this is off topic but i have a 94 f-150 4.9l 4x4. I dont beat my truck. it goes off road, mudding here and there. being that the 4.9 loves to shred mounts. does any one make solid engine mounts or polyurithane mounts called energy suspention and they dont make any. and they have no plans to make any says the r&d guy that i spoke with... I cant see why the 4.9 is a power house. just hate the mounts. thinking about fabing mounts if i cant find any that are worth a darn. all comments & info welcome. thanks.

No, They do unfortunatly.... Like a fat kid loves cake. Especially with a longbed 4x4 with 4:10's, 6" lift and 35 that are 14.5 wide. all the tork has to go some were and the engine mounts are the weekest link unfortunatly.

To be honest (in the last 6 years) I have found no one that makes a good motor mount for the i6's. the only way to get some good ones is to make them yourself with the best materials you can afford. I used grade 8 metal, gladware containers insted of cups, and bigger washers (cut them deeper and bent the tabs in opposite directions). link for instructions below... Just remember to adapt as needed for how you are set up...
