How many quarts of oil?

My book does not tell me how many quarts of oil go into the 5.4 liter, 1998 4x4 expedition. It seems like it is ALMOST six. Anyone know?

How many quarts of oil?

It's 6 quarts, if you change the filter (and you should).

How many quarts of oil?

When I change the filter mine takes 6 quarts. But, remember that the filter is remote so you need oil to fill the pipe and the filter. So after I change my oil and add 6qts I run the engine for a little. Then ck the oil again and end up adding anoth 3/4qt to top it off.

So my grand total is 6 3/4 quarts.

I've changed the oil 25 times on my 250 and 18 on my XP. Been the same every time.

How many quarts of oil?

The sticker above the radiator on my '97 states 7.0 qts. I check it after adding 6, and it usually ends up at around 6-3/4 to 7 qts every time. My guess is due to the remote filter plumbing. The average filter supposedly holds 1/2 qt. by itself.
