It worked!

Ok, I finally got mine to work. For some reason, my LED light never would come on. When I would come to the option I wanted, I just hit the button quickly to change the option from what its current state was. So, I went to Bank 2 Option 1 and hit the "start" button quickly(to fix my previous mistake), went to Option 7 hit the "start" button quickly (to allow me to open the doors without it shutting off) and everything works perfectly!!! Just keep in mind, my LED light never came on to show if the option was on or off.

Steve,
That is what I did, I reset my whole system. I went out Sunday and got it working again. But I have not gone out and tired to change option 7 in bank 2, I will try it later.
Thanks for all the help.

I also stress to make sure you carefully read the programming instructions before making any changes. Otherwise, you might end up with a non-working system like the guys above posted. Usually that's caused by accidently reseting all of the options by holding the button in too long, but then is usually fixed by switching the Tach Mode to tachless (the rest of the default settings work with our truck).

I don't know why their LED lights are not working. My only suggestion is to look at the LED light and trace its wires back to the main harness to see if the LED wires/plug is actually plugged in.
Thanks...I won't screw around with it and let the dealer turn off the honk when I get the next oil change....

Slider,
That was might thought too until the service manager told me that it cannot be done. I told him it could be, and he said that due to people trying to shift the truck from park, that ford switched it so when people opened the door it would shut off. I told him that I was not that dumb and I would remember to put the key it. He laughed and said that I was in the minority. So hopefully your dealer will do it for you.

yeah, most dealers don't have a clue or will just refuse to change it. You can do it yourself, just take your time and read the instructions.

Glad you guys got your systems working. I'm not a professional installer or anything, I've just been tinkering with these Ford systems on my trucks since 2002.
