Swapping in air conditioning

I have a 79 f100 with a 351m never had a/c and not set up for it. I quite candidly don,t know a whole lot about it. Anyway, I am running out of room here and am going to have to strip and ship a 76 Merc Marquis. I want to keep the 400m that's in it for a future swap into my truck. The car is equipped with air conditioning that apparantly works. My 1st question is; what should I do to disassemble the system for storage. I probably won't get around to this project for several months, maybe more. Secondly, In the meanwhile, what parts should I be looking for to make this converstion work. Can I adapt my blower switch, etc ?
I don't really need air conditioning but since I've got the unit I thought I'd see how much time and money I may need to invest in this project.

Thanks in advance
Greg
