Dad and I wandered out north of Sonoita to Empire Ranch...there were a few trails we checked out. We took the main entrance off HWY 83 and took route LC901 to LC905 to LC902 and took LC900 back out to HWY 82 to home.
A few pics I took while we had a snack:
The views out there are awesome:
A radar tower out in the distance..
Very mild dirt roads, didn't need 4WD, but was fun anyways. Someday when I have the time, I want to go out there during a monsoon storm and see just how muddy it gets out there.
This state has so many places to go and see, I have lived here for over 40 years and am still seeing new stuff.

Yep, off highway 83. The main entrance to Empire Ranch.
We lived out in Sonoita about 15 years ago and saw quite a bit of antelope out on the hills on our treks to and from Sierra Vista.
I live 2 miles south of the Doppler radar antenna in the one picture. There's alot of trails to ride on out there. Antelope are still there, just pushed back off the road a little. There are antelope in Elgin also.
