Great pictures guys.
That Plymouth. You did a great job on it and your truck.

Love that seat too, tunafoot. I agree with the build thread idea. That could be very useful for people.

Currently working on interior. it has been a year since purchase. New T5 transmission, motor mounts, headers and exhaust, power steering, tilt steering column, alternator, new hydraulic brake/clutch assembly, and valve covers.

The engine is a rebuilt 292 with Thunderbird heads, mild cam and 4 barrel carb.
runs unbelievable!

Looking forward to completion.

Lets see your truck RIGHT now

Just got my truck a few weeks ago. Currently I am in the pre-project planning / waiting for the snow to melt stage.

It is a 1949 Mercury M-68. 239ci flathead, not seized but not running. 4 speed.

Started painting my panel last night after 6 years of work, probably take a couple more sessions at the community ed. body-shop class to get it finished. Color is red copper pearl. This was my first try at spraying a vehicle, I have shot some smaller things before. I'm really stoked at how well it turned out.

Hey Gary,
Beautiful color! Wow - that's looking great.

Are you going with any door art? Do you have some other old trucks as well? (Seems like I
remember you had some other trucks too..)
I like your practical community college approach.

Thanks, I did have a 52 but sold it to a guy in France. As far as door art I am probably going to put my logo on the sides, I am a Western artist and plan on using the panel to go to art shows.

It's going to be one color just painted the roof first, I had thought about 2 tone but decided against it.

Hey Gary,
Now you can't talk about art & not post something.
Anything with an old truck in it?

Looking good out there in West Texas.

Hey Gary--nice work! You can certainly do more than turn a wrench. Your truck should be a real attention getter at shows. Looking forward to seeing your truck finished.
