Now you are talkin'! Keep it close to stock. It is in great shape!

Does it have a dump bed? I see the two ***** under the dash.

And welcome to FTE!

It is great the way it is now! Beautiful!

Yes, a full PTO drive hydraulic dump! Wood floor is in sad shape, but the sides are good and I have the tailgates and extensions... along with the livestock racks too!

I'm glad I jumped into this thread to get some ideas and inspiration... if I have any funds left after "finishing" my 74 I will have some kind of plan for the '51.

Welcome to this forum!

That's a great looking truck as is. I too would love to see it left stock, but it's your truck.

I have family in ND. What part of the state are you in?

I am south of Dickinson about 40 miles, just on the edge of the oil boom (now not so booming).

My grandpa bought the truck in the late 50's or early 60's so it has sentimental value for me - it has always been here! So keeping it close to stock sounds like a good idea.

Whew! We just saved another from going to the dark side! Get it running and stopping and use it.

Does anyone know if that hood ornament and SS strip were a factory or dealer installed option? I really like it.

I use the center line of the hood to line up my truck when I'm pulling into the garage. That would make it more like gun sights.

Oh, and if you haven't already, please start a new thread about your truck. I see this is the "Let's see you truck right now" thread and we've taken it a little off topic.

I will take some more pics and start a new thread. As far as I know everything is factory on it, except the engine was swapped at some point, still a flat head v-8 though...

Has a 2007 6.0L with a 4l80e transmission. 88mm billet borg warner turbo. Megasquirt computer. ridetech shockwaves and dakota kit from industrial chassis. Im guessing 750hp - 800hp to the wheels at 15psi of boost.
Vintage air and heated seats that i upholstered myself
