My 1949 F-1. Just got the front suspension back together after functional and cosmetic rebuild. It has a 1983 El Camino IFS done by prior owner.

It it moves, it is new. Steering box rebuilt by Benchworks of Scottsdale, AZ.

I have parked it for a while as I have 2 SN95 Mustangs to finish and sell. I also will be freshening the trucks 1992 5.0L roller motor and converting it back to EFI as well as getting the AOD rebuilt.

Worst part of this tear-down is that it started to just freshen a few things and get a VIN inspection (required here in NV), but as I took it apart I just finding things that were not done right by PO or that needed attention. So it has turned into a much bigger project on what was a sweet running F-1. (Exple: note the home made trans cross-member in the top photo, will be replaced by a unit from Chassis Engineering.)

Bjorn,

I wanted to sign your guestbook, but gave up after the fourth time getting the message: "ERROR: Invalid domain for site key"

An epic day for me. Fred moved under his own power for the first time since the 90s! Just down the driveway, turn around and most importantly, back up the driveway. No video as I was home alone but I did have witnesses.
