I like them A LOT and to each their own... my goal is a well - powered, reliable, comfortable, nice riding and reasonable handling vehicle that I can drive a few times a week without special concessions. My kids love riding to school in it when it is my turn to take them

I'm at the final stages of this build. The truck is in for upholstery after a last push by me in terms of fabrication. I widened (5") and stretched the back (3") of its Dodge caravan bench seat and then built modular horse-shoe shaped skirts out of Aluminum (had to dust off the TIG to weld it together) to close off the slider mechanism. Tried to post pictures of the skirts, but the photo size may be too big...or it is just fickle today. wouldn't accept any of my photos.

I also installed an amp, powered sub and component speakers to add some tunes.
Color scheme will be tan square weave (like in an old 356 Porsche or VW) with carmel-ish colored leather on the seat and door panels. Perhaps some won't like my taste there, either. No worries.

Cheers,
Doug
I think if the bodywork and color choice wasn't so great that people wouldn't have such strong reaction to the tires and wheels. I think the best word to describe it is JUXTAPOSITION..the art kind not the literature kind. Like a small wildflower causing concrete to crack. There are some things I don't care for. Other things I like but wouldn't own. I both like and want that truck. Thanks for posting. I'm going to save the pics.

Here is how she started about 18 months ago. 15" Boyd's billet wheels with 75 series tires. some of you may like these wheels and stance better....

In front of the same trees in my yard 18 months earlier, once home from my extraction trip to Arizona.

Are you all tired of me yet?
More along the lines of the theme of this thread... this is the latest from the upholsterer of last night. He's cut the basic shape of the Tan square weave carpet (as you'd find in old Porsche 356s and VWs). It is period correct, perhaps but not OEM, correct. It will be bound in a matching material to the seat, which will be in the spectrum of caramel or butterscotch.

Upholstery in, now to clean up the wiring. Next is: Install wood bed and tonneau cover, new wheels and tires and it's finished.

Real nice job to the interior, what is the center section out of and does it provide storage?
