I have been in your shoes before. Quit fooling around and buy a new IPR.
Your problem will be solved. And don't waste your money on a o-ring kit for it.
The engine will not start or run without the proper oil pressure to activate the injectors.
Low oil pressure at the injector will cause rough running or no running and no smoke while cranking. I own 2 PSD's and have had to replace the IPR in both trucks.
