I like the build, I'm interested in what the kit consists of/ where to source one... Like the 12v, even though ill prolly keep my idi when i convert my 94 dually to 4x4.

Had a wheel come apart and trashed the front end in the process, so im just saving up for Dana 60 4x4 conversion =D

If you wouldn't mind posting more details on everything you had to do the the front end of the frame as I will be encountering to same hurdles when I begin my project. THANKS

I know this thread is a little old, but by far has the best pictures. I keep trying to figure out how people determine where to drill the holes for the front bracket. Also, did you wind up boxing the frame? I didn't see any evidence of that.

The original shackle holes is the locating hole. And as far as boxing the frame, It didn't look like he did, but it should be done

My truck was a 2wd so it did not have the shackle hole. When I started this thread a few years ago I hadn't boxed the frame for mock up, I have since done that.

I have been driving the truck for a year now, and it's pretty awesome. I have deviated from the original plans slightly in the beginning of this thread. Let me know if there is anything any of you want to see.

Here are a few pics of it, funny how this thread got bumped right when I tore the front end apart again to pull the motor out.

I know I'm bringing back a dead thread but I am doing the same thing but using a 1997 350 as a donor truck. Im in the middle of cutting out the seam welds and the rivets holding in the very front box in. I have some more questions. Did you box in the frame between the engine mount and radiator on passenger side? Driver side has the steering gear box. Would I need to remove radiator and mount and such in order to get to get to the boxed part between radiator and the engine mount?
