Is there any way of telling what size sway bar I have by looking at the VIN. I don't trust my eyes with a ruler next to the sway bar when I have found several sizes available with a 1/16" difference in sizes. I need to replace the rubber mounting bracket bushings and don't want to order the wrong size!

 

1999-2004 SDs have a 32mm sway bar. You can pick up the energy suspension kit on Amazon for $32. Part # is 4.5186G. It includes the sway bar bushings and the end link bushings.

I don't know what year your truck is, and I don't know if the sway bar changed after 04.

 

Also, some of the early '99s have a different size sway bar that use the 4.5192 kit.

 

I have a 2003 F250 Crew Cab, 7.3 diesel, 2 wheel drive, short bed. Does thsi narrow it down to a specific sway bar? Aren't they measured in SAE and not metric?
