HiPo C6 4X4 tranny

Category: Drivetrain
Price: $750
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (you may select multiples): '06+ Civic/CSX, Prelude, Fit
Item Condition: CA
Engine: Part suitable for gas truck

4X4 C6 tranny with short (5-3/4") transfer case adapter to fit 351M, 400, 429 and 460 engines for sale.

It was professionally rebuilt about five or six years ago for a 1986 Ford F250 with a 6.9 diesel. Shortly after the rebuild the engine died and the truck sat for several years. I pulled the drivetrain and took the tranny to the shop that did the rebuild/installation and had them disassemble and inspect it, (it was found to be in excellent condition with no work needed) then I had them reassemble it in a different housing to fit the 460 engine.

The transmission was upgraded along the way with a new 2000 RPM stall converter, Kevlar 2nd gear band, high pressure billet servo and Transgo full manual shift kit and more, to the tune of $835 dollars. Plans changed and it was never installed or run since the build, never even had fluid put in it.

The shop that did the work estimated the value of this unit at over $1200, I'm only asking $750 which is considerably less than I have in it.

It's located it Northern Ca. and I can deliver it within the North State and possibly So. Cal. or Eastern Nev. by special arrangement. Would prefer not to ship but will consider the possibility.

I thought the C6 behind the diesel had longer ratios for the shorter power band, no?

No, Andy has it right...they're no different internally. I specifically asked that question at the tranny shop before I ever started this project, and the guy at this shop knows his stuff.
