No, I didn't make a build thread. Over on the ranger Station there must be 50 v8 swap therads, mine would be the same as the rest. How have you been. The wrong Chevy hit the wall at Taxas.

 

I don't think I could drive with no exhaust. I may drive it to the exhaust shop, its only about 4 miles, (and I don't live in town.)

Hey Jay!

Well, I picked up the truck from the shop last Tuesday, but that was an adventure in itself. Everything but the cruise control was fixed.

Then on Friday, I loaded up the camper and headed down the Guadalupe River RV Resort for a truck camper rally. I'd never been to a rally before so I spent most of the weekend wandering around trying to figure out what was going on.

Oh and I bought my truck a present! It is a device called a StableLoad, from Torklift. The truck used to sag about 5 to 6 inches when the camper was loaded on the truck. Now it sags only 2 inches, and has less sway.

So, I had a busy weekend.

Hope they get that cruise figured out for you soon, Timothy. I'm sure you'll like that StableLoad, everybody I know that's told me about them is obviously very happy with the difference they make. So do you think you're going to be a regular camper rally guy now?

Looks like it's Bristol today. I thought I might have a friend at last week's race, but he had to stay home and make money instead.

I got the Xfinity race on now, I dont really care who wins buy its racing, I'm sick of Harvick already, I might turn it off

The StableLoads also made the empty ride a lot rougher. Even my wife noticed the difference.

I will probably go to another rally. It was fun, in spite of the fact that none of them know what spicy chilli is. If I can make it next year, I think I will enter the chilli contest. I whip up a batch of 'Satan's Breakfast' and have the paramedics on standby. They'll probably throw me out after that.


But at least I'll have some good chilli.
