Just noticed some advertising last night that the Hot Rod Power tour is starting off from the Newton Speedway June 5th. They will come right down 80 to head to Springfield Illinois. I will certainly have to at minimum watch them come by, but most likely will take the day and head to the track...

I caught up with them when they went through Davenport several years ago. It's cool to see all the old cars done up cruising down the highway together. Each day at their destination is a big car show. I have a bunch of pics from back then...

hhmmm...sounds like i may have to get a bunch of our cars to meet up with them. maybe take the harley up to the show since, i can't get the truck out and i'm not so sure the 65 stang's motor will hold up much longer.
maybe I can get some good advertising done with vehicles we did at the shop.

If you bring it up, they will be looking... They do put shots in of cars that just show up, not just the ones that run the Tour. Not to mention, all the others that come to look at the cars anyway.
