I have a buddy that will be venturing out on a cross country bike ride next summer and is looking for a front mount hitch receiver for his 2008 Expedition EL 4wd that would support a bike rack. Not much luck with a Google search other then a Ranch Hand type guard. Anyone know of anyone making such a front mount hitch receiver?

look at the front hitches for the 04-08 F-150. The are about 99% identical in the frame area up front.
I know that the F-150 bull bars/grille guards fit a 03-10 Expy. Your buddy could most likely grab a 04-08 front mount hitch and bolt it right in...or easily adapt it to work without a ton of effort.
it's worth a try, especially for a relatively light load such as a bike
