The only machine shop that I have first hand knowledge of is Columbia Pacific Machine Works in Astoria, and that was to have make sure I didn't bend a drive shaft that I dropped hammering the brakes to keep from killing the teenager that pulled out in front of my 67 pickup.

Not on the coast, but worth the drive......Hubbler's machine shop/engines in Cascadia just east of Sweet Home....Old school guys who know their stuff, working in a ancient hole in the wall building, with a yard full of engines and old muscle cars in their salvage yard.....Step back into the 1960's!......You have to see this place, I get all my machine work done by them, they speak ford fluently too!
