Installation Instructions
Can any of you help with some installation instructions on the one piece door window kits. My dad and I have built 3 53 f100 pickups and are now on a 52 F1 pickup and our first 1 piece window kit... Any help would be most appreciated as we do not want to break any windows. Basic questions are do we install all of the window felt and gasketing first? Does the window install through the top by sliding it down into the channel at an angle or does it fit some how through the face of the door?
thank you,
Thomas

One piece glass
It's not very hard to make your own kit. Take out the wind wing. Use the original glass as a pattern, adding the extra material for the missing piece. Make a template of plywood for the one piece glass. It takes a little cutting and fitting but isn't really that hard. After getting the glass fitted put it in the door and put in the channeling and attach the anchors for it. I made mine out of some pieces of metal channel that was the correct size for the window channel and tack welded them in place. I used a set of electric swithces with the original handles that travel up and down about 1 1/2". Can't really say how well they're going to last as it is yet to hit the road, but don't see why it won't hold up with use.
