Question power door lock kit

Hey guys . Have any of you guys ever installed power door locks on your truck. I have a crew cab and iam getting tired of always having to reach around an unlock all the doors for my passengers.( ok its not fatigue, its laziness) Anyway , does anyone know where i might be able to get a kit to do this. It doesnt seem like it wolud be that difficult to do. The difficult part is justifying the extra expense to my wife!

Find a CC with PDL's in the JY and take all the door panels switches, wiring, and the locks, and go for it. All bolt in's, the Trick will be to get the GEM to control them so you have Keyless entry>....... But you could easily wire them up manually. Even easier, take the doors with everything in them. You could get PW's as well....

My truck had manual door locks also, I had a local audio store install an alarm and door actuators on the front doors only. After getting it home I pulled the front door panel off to see what was involved, super simple. Went back bought 2 more actuators and did the rears in about 2hours just tapped into the wires they ran for the fronts. The actuators are allover the web any where from 5 bucks to 20 bucks they all look the same. Mine is set up to lock if all the doors are closed when the truck starts, and unlock when the ignition is turned off. So to unlock from the inside I have to shut the truck off, but it would be pretty simple to add a switch. So thats an option plus you can sell her on the security of the alarm. These trucks are pretty popular for thieves.

The aftermarket ones are identical to the redesigned ford ones. I bought one ford and one aftermarket and you can't tell them apart.

what I mean is NON- OEM style power locks. Like the kind you may get from the local auto customization shop. He doesn't have the OEM locks, wiring, or switches.

I wonder if you could install OE actuators down on the lock itself ( if they use the same latch assembly across the board with the mount and access for it )and use pigtails. Instead of using the arm style aftermarket ones. I just did my door handles and forgot to look. Im looking at doing the same soon to my peasant model 350. Door panels are going for $250 each around here. Just the panel skin.No switches. $600 and up for the door with innards.
